Panzer Gruppe West Introduction
WE the members of Panzer Gruppe West "PGW" are a historical
research and educational reenacting group with a passion in
the learning of military history of World War II, and in the
preserving of artifacts and vehicles of that period.

Our Goals are:
1. To honor our veterans past and present. By recreating for
Public display and performance what it was like for soldiers
in service to the Third Reich. To show the enemies for which
our Grandfathers had to face on the battlefields of Europe.
2. TO educate the public on the importance of keeping alive
the memories and experiences of that period in world
history, as well as preserving equipment,artifacts and
memorabilia of the era.
3. To host in public and private, living history displays,
battle reenactments, USO-style dances and media projects and
film work. We work in cooperation of civic and community
organizations, such as the American Red Cross, veterans
organizations and museums. As well as government agencies
such as the Department of Defence.
We are a multi-impression German unit (KampfGruppe) with our
primary unit being the 9th SS Hohenstaufen. However we also
have members portray the personnel of the 102sSSPzt Abt,
12thSS Hitlerjugend, 2ndSS Das Reich, SS Helferin, DRK
Nurse, and Luftwaffe, and Wehrmacht. Some of our members
also do British and American impressions when needed.
We have unit members in a seven state region centered around
the great lakes area of IL,IA,IN,MI,OH,WI,MO
